Auburn University’s Formula SAE team faced a typical FSAE challenge: an educational motorsports timeline with only about three months to design every part, many returning freshmen with no CAD experience, and a constant need to reduce weight while iterating parts down to nuts and bolts. The improved workflow and performance helped Auburn University earn its best-ever finish (2nd place) at the Formula SAE event in Lincoln, Nebraska and secure multiple awards.
