Alexin Joint Stock Company, Russia’s largest valve supplier (Tyazhpromarmatura), needed to automate and standardize its product development to reduce design and production planning time, enforce a single data format, and improve documentation quality for valves used in extreme conditions. Solid Edge was rolled out company-wide beginning with 2D standardization and a phased move to 3D, backed by Siemens-led training, customization, and hardware updates; within three months Alexin deployed more than 80 Solid Edge workstations along with standardized drafting processes and compliance checks. The Solid Edge implementation standardized design automation across the company, accelerated adoption of 3D modeling, ensured multi-format compatibility and national-standard compliance, and laid the groundwork for CAM integration and further digital development.
