Case Study: Groupe SEB achieves 43% increase in new product introductions and enterprise-wide collaboration with Solid Edge (Siemens)

A Solid Edge Case Study

Preview of the Groupe SEB Case Study

Adopt open PLM systems that supports multiple CAD and ERP tools

Groupe SEB, the global maker of small domestic appliances (brands such as Tefal, Rowenta, Moulinex and Krups), needed to continuously innovate, shorten time-to-market, move from local to cross-discipline product development, and align processes across more than 20 brands. To address this, Groupe SEB deployed Siemens Digital Industries Software PLM technologies, including Solid Edge CAD alongside Teamcenter as the unifying PLM platform.

Using Solid Edge within a Teamcenter-based PLM environment, the vendor standardized data models and workflows, enabled secure enterprise-wide cross-site collaboration while preserving autonomous access, and extended PLM tools across the workforce (60 Solid Edge and 100 NX stations managed centrally). The deployment drove measurable impact: new product introductions rose 43% (from 140 to 200 annually), over 1,000 users access project data daily, and process reliability, policy standardization and knowledge reuse were significantly improved.
