3D increases design efficiency for complete water treatment system supplier

ProMinent Slovensko, part of the ProMinent Group, needed to evolve from a component supplier to a complete water-treatment systems provider and improve how it communicated complex designs to customers, production and installation teams. To replace its 2D-based design process and support modular, assembly-oriented systems, the company standardized on Solid Edge software (including the Solid Edge Express Route module) to enable 3D design across its global locations.

Using Solid Edge, implemented and supported locally by partner SOVA Digital, ProMinent Slovensko moved to 3D assembly modelling and automated routed-mechanical/electrical design, which increased engineers’ creativity, reduced drafting and documentation workloads, and improved communication with customers and production. Solid Edge helped the company produce more detailed production and assembly documentation and gain competitive advantage—enabling projects such as a Baltic Sea water conditioning plant (125 m3/hour capacity) put into operation in 2017 for Öland Island.
