komoot, a Potsdam-based technology company that builds route-planning apps and operates a remote‑first culture, faced growing overhead from paper-based reimbursements and centralized payments as it scaled to dozens of employees. To solve this, komoot chose Soldo’s spend-management platform — including prepaid and virtual cards — to give distributed staff the ability to pay for tools and services without burdening the finance team.

Soldo rolled out about 50 prepaid and virtual cards, plus features like auto-tagging, auto-transfers and exportable reports, enabling instant top-ups, spend controls and seamless accounting. The result: significantly less expense admin for komoot’s finance team (avoiding dozens of monthly reimbursement forms), faster purchasing for employees, clearer spend data and a scalable expense solution that supports their remote‑first growth.
