SolarEdge Helps Keep California Water District Afloat

North Coast Solar was tasked with installing a solar array on a wastewater treatment pond in Kelseyville, CA, where on-site monitoring, maintenance, and personnel safety on the water presented significant challenges. They selected SolarEdge and its power optimizer and inverter technology for the project, which offered the required advanced safety and maintenance features.

SolarEdge implemented a 252 kW floating PV system with module-level power optimizers and commercial inverters. The solution maximized energy harvest from each module, reduced DC cabling by up to 40%, and provided critical safety functions like SafeDC™. For the customer, this resulted in an initial projected annual electricity savings of $90,000.
