Case Study: Dattalion achieves scalable war crimes evidence management with SOLAR Digital

Dattalion scales war crimes evidence search across thousands of entries with SOLAR Digital

Dattalion, an independent team of activists and human rights defenders in Ukraine, faced a significant challenge when their initial temporary solution for documenting war crimes became overwhelmed by the growing volume of data. Their simple Python script and Google Drive interface slowed down evidence processing and limited scalability, creating an urgent need for a dedicated and robust data collection platform. SOLAR Digital was engaged to develop this critical evidence management system.

SOLAR Digital implemented a high-performance, scalable data management platform using Laravel and Vue.js. The solution featured automated data collection through Google Drive integration and a powerful search system using MeiliSearch for real-time access. The resulting platform from SOLAR Digital dramatically improved file handling speed and integrity, allowing Dattalion to confidently scale its operations and serve as a vital tool for international organizations seeking justice and accountability.
