How Pyth is Catalyzing a New Era of Permissioned Environments

Pyth Network, a provider of high-frequency financial data oracles for decentralized finance, required a blockchain infrastructure capable of supporting its need for rapid data processing, minimal latency, and high-throughput to deliver accurate, real-time price feeds. Their challenge was to find a platform that could handle these demanding performance requirements while also providing a secure and customizable environment for their specialized service.

The solution was implemented using a Solana Permissioned Environment (SPE) from the Solana Foundation. This specialized appchain, powered by the Solana Virtual Machine, provided the ideal high-performance infrastructure. The results were highly successful: Pythnet, the SPE, now aggregates data from over 90 providers to deliver 292 real-time price feeds across more than 45 blockchains, serving over 269 applications with secure and reliable data, thereby catalyzing a new era of decentralized finance.
