VoiceBase, the speech analytics API developer serving customers like Amazon, Twilio, Nasdaq, and C-SPAN, needed a scalable way to orchestrate millions of monthly recordings and handle rapidly growing event volumes. Its existing Amazon Simple Queue Service approach and other JMS options were becoming too complex and expensive as demand increased, especially with projected run rates reaching billions of minutes per month.

VoiceBase implemented Solace messaging technology to route voice, video, and text events through its processing pipeline, supporting transcription, indexing, summarization, redaction, and predictive analytics. Solace handled heavy loads in a small footprint with low operating costs, with VoiceBase reporting that the system required the least management of any component in its architecture and had not needed configuration changes since deployment in 2014. In testing, Solace outperformed alternatives by handling the simulated scale “without breaking a sweat,” confirming it could meet VoiceBase’s long-term growth needs.
