TAB Bank wants to become the preferred banking back end for FinTechs while expanding into small business lending, but its existing API-centric, synchronous approach was limiting how easily it could expose robust endpoints to partners. To support this shift, TAB Bank turned to Solace and its PubSub+ Platform to complement its Mulesoft ESB with event-driven architecture and an event mesh.
Solace helped TAB Bank create asynchronous communications across 54 microservices, streaming data between TAB’s systems and those of customers and partners to power loan creation and document generation. The result is greater decoupling and scalability, improved availability and reliability, faster delivery of new offerings, and expected cost savings by avoiding a homegrown middleware layer.
