A Solace Case Study
Standard Chartered PLC is a leading international bank, listed on the London, Hong Kong and Mumbai stock exchanges. It has operated for over 150 years in some of the world’s most dynamic markets and earns around 90 per cent of its income and profits in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. As one of the world’s largest foreign exchange traders, Standard Chartered required a scalable next-generation infrastructure capable of low-latency data distribution across trading locations. After a rigorous evaluation and testing process, Standard Chartered selected Solace to provide the messaging infrastructure for their next-generation foreign exchange trading platform, and as their new standard for high performance messaging. Solace appliances were initially deployed in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, London and New York to provide both reliable and guaranteed messaging between Standard Chartered trading venues. Additional appliances will be added to Standard Chartered’s network as more applications are migrated to the new platform, which SCB has selected as their new standard for high performance messaging.
