JDE Peet’s handles 9x more capacity on same hardware with Solace

JDE Peet's, the world's leading pure-play coffee and tea company, needed to modernize its global distribution system. Their challenge was to improve work with logistics providers by adding real-time capabilities and better scalability to their system, simplify their architecture, and eliminate the risk of message loss. To meet this challenge, they worked with vendor Solace and implemented the Solace Platform.

The solution involved using Solace Event Portal to analyze their environment and Solace Event Broker to enable real-time, event-driven data distribution. This integration with their Boomi iPaaS resulted in a ninefold increase in capacity on the same hardware and shifted 85% of EDI traffic to Boomi. The system became so reliable and scalable that implementing a new order management system took only one week and events like Black Friday no longer cause concern.
