Case Study: Muttville Dog Rescue Center achieves 36+ hours of backup power with Sol-Ark commercial solar and battery storage

A Sol-Ark Case Study

Muttville Dog Rescue Center powers critical loads for 36+ hours with Sol-Ark

Muttville Dog Rescue Center, a senior dog rescue organization in San Francisco, faced challenges with power reliability and high energy costs in its new facility. The center needed a backup power solution for its critical infrastructure and wanted to reduce its energy expenses to allocate more resources to animal care. They turned to Sol-Ark for a solution.

Sol-Ark implemented a system using two 60K-3P-480V Commercial Hybrid Inverters and four HV-60 batteries to provide 240kW of storage. This solution allows Muttville to power critical loads for over 36 hours during an outage. The system also enables the center to generate over 1.2MWh of solar energy annually, helping it avoid expensive utility charges.
