ANO KATO TSIKOUDIA bottles its packaging concept in a vintage drug-store design with Soho Square

ANO KATO TSIKOUDIA, a producer of the traditional Cretan spirit Tsikoudia, faced the challenge of creating packaging that reflected the drink's dual identity as both a local medicinal remedy and a potent beverage known for its strong, reality-altering effects.

The vendor, Soho Square, designed a solution that packaged the spirit in a vintage drug store bottle to highlight its medicinal heritage. To visually represent its intoxicating effect, they printed the logo upside down, so that when the bottle is served and poured, the logo appears correctly oriented, playing on the brand name "Ano Kato" (which means 'upside down'). This creative packaging design by Soho Square successfully captured the unique character of the product.
