The Chemifloc Group, an Irish-owned specialist chemical company supplying water and wastewater treatment solutions and bulk chemicals since 1981, faced growing complexity in managing a diverse workforce across manufacturing, drivers, labs and shared services. Their on-premises time and attendance system could not scale with the business: upgrades often removed custom features, driver pay rules required time-consuming manual workarounds, and the system lacked robust HR functionality, reporting and reliable remote clocking.

Chemifloc implemented Softworks’ cloud-based Workforce Management suite (Time & Attendance, Leave, Clocking, Employee Self-Service, HR, Skills and Reporting), with a dedicated project manager configuring pay rules and rolling out clocking in phases. The result was significant time savings on payroll through automated driver calculations and downloadable reports, faster approvals and better visibility via dual approvers and supervisor calendars, and improved compliance with automated probation alerts — with plans to expand automated reporting and skills tracking further.
