Chime, Ireland’s national charity for deafness with services from 10 centres, was hampered by a manual, paper-based timesheet and leave system that made tracking time in lieu and annual leave across departments and locations slow, error-prone and opaque. They needed an honour-based electronic timesheet approach plus flexible reporting, skills and training management, workflows/alerts and employee self-service mobile access to reduce administration and improve accuracy and transparency.
Chime implemented Softworks modules for Electronic Timesheets, Absence & Holiday tracking, HR, Employee Self‑Service (mobile), Alerts & Reporting and Training & Skills Tracking. The solution eliminated much paper admin, sped up and simplified reporting, reduced errors, improved visibility across sites, freed managers to focus on core work, boosted staff satisfaction and saved significant HR time — with plans to extend the system further.
