Friends of the Elderly, a care home provider supporting older people since 1905, needed a better way to manage employee time and attendance, rostering, leave, skills, and training across its care homes. The organization had been relying on spreadsheets and paper-based processes, which were increasingly complex and labour-intensive. Softworks implemented a system to streamline and automate rostering, time and attendance, skills, training, compliance, and employee self-service, with payroll integration and a contactless fever recognition feature added during COVID-19. The solution gave managers and staff better oversight, reduced admin burden, and helped ensure the right people with the right skills were scheduled at the right time, supporting improved care delivery across Friends of the Elderly’s care homes.
