Element Six, a De Beers Group company and global leader in synthetic diamond and tungsten carbide supermaterials, employs around 1,900 people with roughly 600 at its Shannon, Ireland manufacturing site operating 24/7. Although HR, building access and payroll systems were in place, those systems weren’t automatically linked to timesheets or rostering, creating heavy manual administration for supervisors, managers and HR and causing errors and frequent employee queries.

Element Six implemented Softworks’ cloud Workforce Management (Time & Attendance, Scheduling/Rostering, Absence Tracking, Self‑Service and Alerts) integrated with existing HR, access control and payroll. Access-control data now feeds electronic timesheets, rostering is far quicker (a full company roster can be created in ~20 minutes), payroll processing time fell from about 12 to 4 hours, and proactive alerts plus Azure SSO self‑service improved accuracy, transparency, compliance and employee engagement.
