Bon Secours Hospitals Get Better Rostering with Softworks

Bon Secours Health System is Ireland’s largest private healthcare provider; its Cork hospital — the first to go live with Softworks — employs about 1,100 staff across clinical, non-clinical and ancillary roles. Faced with a cumbersome legacy system, the hospital needed to manage extremely complex rostering (over 600 schedules and 286 shift patterns), multi-site staffing and buy-in from every department to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Bon Secours implemented Softworks eRostering, Time & Attendance, Employee Self Service and a 14-unit biometric network, using a modular setup with appointed administrators and manager/employee roles. The rollout delivered more flexible rostering, centralised time and absence records, faster payroll reporting, reduced administrative workload and stronger employee engagement and empowerment through self-service and reliable biometric tracking.
