The Association of British Insurers (ABI), representing over 300 providers, needed to modernize its data collection from 700+ members. Their challenge was to replace a process reliant on complex Excel spreadsheets with a secure new web portal without disrupting the users' familiar workflows. Softwire was engaged to build this new platform.

Softwire designed and delivered a centralized Azure SQL data warehouse-based platform that integrated seamlessly with Microsoft Excel. This allowed users to continue working with familiar tools while enabling live-editing and streamlining the entire process. The platform was successfully rolled out on-time and on-budget in just over four months. It significantly streamlined the ABI's data collection, automatically flagged submission errors, and reduced the burden on both the ABI and its members.
