Haelroth is a competitive multiplayer arena game developed by Kevin Upton and his student/startup team. The team needed extended project management features that integrate directly with JIRA to visualize timelines and plan work — after evaluating options they selected BigPicture from SoftwarePlant for its clean, easy-to-use interface.

SoftwarePlant’s BigPicture was integrated into their JIRA workflow, providing Gantt charts and timeline planning that Kevin says solved their two main problems (visualizing the project timeline and planning tasks) 100%. BigPicture is used by the entire Haelroth team (project manager, engineers, modelers/animators, artist, game designer), improved tracking of deadlines and exports to offline documents, and made planning and progress visibility significantly easier.
