Toys"R"Us Asia empowers staff & ensures business continuity with remote workplace

Toys”R”Us Asia, the retail arm of Toys”R”Us based in Hong Kong, needed a fast way to give staff remote working capabilities when COVID-19 disrupted normal operations. With only a limited number of laptops and VPN connections available, the company turned to SoftwareONE for help and looked to Azure Virtual Desktop as the remote access solution.

SoftwareONE quickly deployed Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop to create a virtual desktop infrastructure that let employees use personal laptops or desktop computers to access office applications securely. The system was up and running in two weeks, starting with testing for about 30 users in Hong Kong before expanding to more than 250 users across ten Asia Pacific countries, helping Toys”R”Us maintain business continuity and remote communication with customers.
