e.kundenservice Netz GmbH, part of the E.ON Group, needed a way to consolidate highly decentralized energy consumption and generation data from multiple SAP and non-SAP systems. Working with SoftwareONE, the company sought a common cloud-based data platform on Azure to replace rigid on-premises SAP BW systems and enable better analysis of data from its grid infrastructure.

SoftwareONE implemented an SAP BW/4HANA landscape in Azure, including BW/4HANA, Web Dispatcher, Cloud Connector, SAC Agent, DP Agent, and Azure NetApp Files, alongside managed services and monitoring. The result was a centralized, real-time data platform analyzing 14 million customers’ energy data, improving decision-making, reducing costs and risk, accelerating innovation, and supporting greener, more sustainable energy solutions.
