SoftwareONE worked with a large Southeast Asian financial institution that had already reduced audit-related financial penalties by 50% but still lacked an ongoing IT asset management (ITAM) strategy. With limited awareness of ITAM’s broader benefits and little funding for it, the customer struggled to justify investment beyond audit risk reduction.

SoftwareONE ran a tailored ITAM workshop for 15 senior stakeholders and delivered a detailed report with recommendations and an action plan, helping build the business case for new investment. As a result, the customer gained leadership support, added automation to licence management, allocated a dedicated SAM budget, expanded the program to more publishers, and began two follow-on initiatives: a SAM advisory service and a SAM managed service.
