Putting Gebrüder Meier on the road to flexibility

Gebrüder Meier AG, a Swiss service provider for electrical machines and mechanical problem solutions, needed to replace aging in-house server hardware and wanted to move its SAP ERP landscape to the cloud. To do so, the company looked for a partner with strong SAP and public cloud expertise, along with a cost-efficient approach and reliable customer care. It chose SoftwareONE for a lift-and-shift migration of SAP ERP to Microsoft Azure, including a database upgrade and unicode conversion.

SoftwareONE migrated the SAP systems to Azure in staged cutovers over two weekends, also providing managed services and a shared Solution Manager on Azure. The project completed successfully without needing fallback plans, and Gebrüder Meier AG gained greater resilience, scalability, flexibility, and lower infrastructure costs, while also decoupling from future hardware investments.
