Modernizing business-critical apps and the company-wide intranet opened new ways to communicate and work together at VdS

VdS Schadenverhütung, a Germany-based organization focused on fire and burglary protection, natural hazard prevention, and cyber security, needed to modernize its company-wide intranet and several business-critical applications. After years of working with SoftwareONE on SharePoint and related workflows, VdS wanted to move to Microsoft 365 and Microsoft .NET to improve scalability, reduce administration effort and costs, and provide employees with better collaboration tools.

SoftwareONE migrated VdS from SharePoint 2016 and NINTEX to SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and Power Platform, while also supporting ongoing cloud operations. SoftwareONE additionally developed the .NET-based “MyCertification” app to digitize certification processing; this replaced a manual, paper-based process and helped reduce processing time and costs, improve data quality, and give customers transparent online access to certification status and renewals.
