LA Metro gains cloud cost control for Azure environment with SoftwareOne’s PyraCloud platform

LA Metro, the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, needed better visibility and control over its Microsoft Azure spending as it moved workloads to the cloud under an Enterprise Agreement. Working with SoftwareONE, the organization used the PyraCloud Platform, specifically its Cloud Management module, to track budgets, forecasts, and actual spend more effectively.

SoftwareONE implemented PyraCloud to provide immediate insight into Azure costs and trends, revealing that spending was on track to reach 3x the original budget commitment. With this visibility, LA Metro was able to identify high-utilization VMs, automate off-hour shutdowns, and turn down unused resources. As a result, the agency brought Azure spending under control and now uses SoftwareONE’s PyraCloud platform to help stay within EA budget limits.
