How Techem paved the way for sustainable software cost savings

Techem, a leading energy management solutions provider in Germany, wanted to improve operational efficiency and optimize IT costs as cloud consumption grew and new workplace requirements emerged. To tackle this, Techem worked with SoftwareONE using its SLM Cost Take-Out (CTO) service and Microsoft Advisory Services.

SoftwareONE analyzed Techem’s software and contractual environment in just a few days, identified seven savings initiatives, and uncovered nearly €3 million in potential software and cloud cost savings and avoidance over three years. In a follow-up Microsoft EA optimization, SoftwareONE helped Techem adapt its licensing and contract structure, delivering more than half a million euros in savings over three years.
