FinOps brightens cloud future for Alpine Health Technologies

Alpine Health Technologies, a healthcare IT provider in Puerto Rico, was migrating workloads to Microsoft Azure to support clinics, insurers, and other healthcare organizations, but cloud spending was rising quickly and becoming difficult to control. To address this, Alpine partnered with SoftwareONE and its Managed FinOps Services to gain better visibility into Azure consumption, improve budgeting, and reduce unnecessary cloud costs.

SoftwareONE implemented a three-phase FinOps approach to help Alpine build an in-house cloud financial management practice, using certified tooling, workshops, benchmarks, and optimization guidance. The results included about USD 50,000 in savings in the first year, an estimated USD 150,000 in total savings over three years, and a 14% reduction in Azure costs, along with better forecasts, improved efficiency, and faster delivery of new services.
