University of Michigan in the press with AppsAnywhere from Software2

The University of Michigan wanted to make university technology available to students and staff anywhere, on any device, while improving software administration and control. To support this goal, the university partnered with Software2 and adopted AppsAnywhere, with Cloudpaging used to help deliver applications more flexibly across campus computing environments.

Software2 implemented a site-wide rollout of AppsAnywhere for students on campus, replacing the traditional start-menu software access on Windows and Virtual Sites computers with an app store-like portal. The solution enabled applications to download and run normally after launch, positioned the university to offer software on personally managed devices in the future, and achieved a 100% application virtualization rate for even difficult-to-virtualize apps.
