Thomas More University College launch AppsAnywhere & enable BYOD

Thomas More University College, the largest university of applied sciences in Flanders, needed a better way to deliver software to more than 15,000 students and 1,400 teachers across 4,000 devices after a 2013 merger brought together three institutions with different software deployment tools. The university’s existing fat-image approach was difficult to maintain, slow for users, incompatible with BYOD, and created too many images and software version issues. Software2 provided AppsAnywhere to help solve these challenges.

With Software2’s AppsAnywhere, Thomas More could package applications once and deliver them to managed and non-managed devices across all campuses, enabling student and staff BYOD while simplifying software access through a single launch button. The result was faster computers and logins, fewer and smaller images to maintain, reduced IT workload, and lower delivery costs, while improving the student experience and reducing dependence on IT support.
