Telco Operator completes legacy platform migration on time with Software Mind

The Telco Operator faced the significant challenge of migrating away from a legacy, end-of-support Nokia IN platform, which was considered an operational risk and a "time bomb." To mitigate this risk and modernize their infrastructure, they partnered with vendor Software Mind to implement a new, custom solution based on the Telestax Java SLEE framework.

Software Mind developed a comprehensive solution that included the new Telestax JSLEE platform, custom services in Java, and automated deployment using Chef. They also created specialized tools to automate the complex migration of service logic and user data. This approach successfully eliminated the risk of the legacy platform and enabled fully automated deployments, which drastically reduced the time required to set up new pre-production environments and ensured the critical migration was completed on-time.
