Software Merchant Inc implemented a mobile driver’s license testing app that lets examiners enter applicant details, record faults and infractions, and document test results in real time. The app includes tollgate-style required fields, automated pass/fail evaluation based on scoring, and online signatures from both the examiner and test taker. As a result, PennDOT reduced paper records, improved documentation and traceability, and streamlined the testing process, though the case study does not provide quantified metrics.
