The NYC Department of Education partnered with Software Merchant Inc to improve its PSAL iOS app for parents, students, and staff. The main challenge was that app requirements changed multiple times during development, creating the need for flexible communication and quick adjustments while adding new features such as schedules, news, staff tools, favorites, and event management.

Software Merchant Inc delivered the full app ahead of schedule by accommodating changing requirements, resolving production issues, enhancing the app’s architecture and user interface, and deploying it to the App Store after testing. As a result, the PSAL app became more user friendly, defect tracking and app tracking improved, and updates and enhancements could be released more quickly and smoothly.
