Comcast, through its XFINITY brand, wanted to give customers a more seamless connected experience beyond traditional cable service. The challenge was to add features such as calls, text messaging, voicemail, email, and video calling on iPads so users could stay connected at all times. Software Merchant Inc was brought in to support this mobility-focused initiative with the XFINITY Connect mobile app.

Software Merchant Inc implemented the XFINITY Connect app with features like Voice2Go for unlimited voice calls, free unlimited texting to the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and more than 40 countries, and video calling between XFINITY voice subscribers. The solution also turned devices into personal TV screens for live TV, XFINITY On Demand, and DVR access, with offline downloads for mobile viewing. The result was a more efficient customer experience that reduced manual labor, lowered staffing needs, and helped Comcast extend home-phone and TV services across multiple devices.
