GOconnectIT needed a technological partner to handle a complex, high-quality, error-proof data migration from its legacy database to a new system on AWS. The company faced the challenge of migrating multiple databases and managing asynchronous jobs and Lambda limitations, which made a simple one-step migration impractical. GOconnectIT worked with The Software House and AWS cloud services to design a reliable migration approach.

The Software House implemented an ETL-based migration framework orchestrated with AWS Step Functions, Lambdas, queues, and separate flows for different entity types and sub-projects. The solution enabled configurable, traceable migrations, handled waiting for asynchronous processing, and generated detailed post-migration reports. As a result, GOconnectIT gained a scalable, business-friendly process for migrating many databases with precise tracking, while avoiding Lambda execution and Step Functions history limits.
