KICB Bank launches mobile wallet with Software Group, reaching 500,000 users and 600,000 monthly transactions

KICB Bank, a financial institution in the Kyrgyz Republic, sought to replace its legacy mobile wallet with a modern, full-scale mobile payments ecosystem. The challenge involved executing a major migration without data loss or service disruption while building an omnichannel wallet to serve a millennial market. They partnered with Software Group and its flexible Mobile Wallet platform to achieve this.

Software Group implemented a robust solution, the Elsom Wallet, which created an extensive payments ecosystem. This allowed KICB to offer features like P2P transfers, contactless payments, digital loans, and merchant payments in a single application. By 2021, the wallet had close to half a million registered users processing over 600,000 transactions monthly.
