Zurich Insurance Group, a global multi-line insurer with around 55,000 employees, relied on ARIS for over a decade to model thousands of business processes across General Insurance and Global Life. Facing end-of-life for their existing ARIS environment and rising demands for standardized, global process management, Zurich needed to migrate hundreds of active users and more than 50 ARIS databases across 15+ countries while accommodating diverse local requirements and minimizing disruption.

Coordinated by ARIS Support in Barcelona and supported by Software AG consultants, Zurich executed a five-week migration using ARIS Architect & Designer, Publisher, Simulation and MashZone, including training, testing and data cleanup. A two-day freeze enabled a “push-button” global go-live; the project met time, cost and quality targets, kept more than 50 databases and ~400 users operating smoothly, and opened the door to ARIS 9 features such as ad hoc analysis and collaboration.
