The Linde Group creates holistic enterprise architecture management solution

The Linde Group, a global leader in gases and engineering with around 50,000 employees and operations in over 100 countries, faced a complex, heterogeneous IT and application landscape that lacked transparency. This fragmentation drove rising costs and made it difficult to identify redundancies, harmonize systems, and align IT with the company’s "Process Excellence" and High Performance Organization objectives.

With support from IDS Scheer Consulting and the ARIS platform, Linde implemented enterprise architecture management to create a centralized repository mapping processes, applications, data and technology. The solution delivered clear visibility into IT capabilities, roles and dependencies, enabled standardization of applications and infrastructure, sped up reporting, and unlocked cost-optimization and better alignment between business and IT.
