Tesco, the multinational grocery retailer, needed better visibility and control over its global processes to support its finance transformation, reduce duplicated work, cut costs, and improve consistency across stores. Working with Software AG, Tesco used ARIS to replace spreadsheet-based process documentation and create a single source of truth for standard operating procedures and business process design.

Software AG implemented ARIS for process design, automation, rollout, risk and compliance, and process mining, helping Tesco build an enterprise-wide process platform. The results included complete visibility into processes worldwide, improved governance and decision-making, reduced risk and shared-service costs, and faster transformation: the initial configuration was completed in four months, with 160 active designers, 300 trained users, and 1,200 viewers already using the platform.
