Case Study: Tel Aviv Stock Exchange achieves risk control and DevOps modernization with Software AG

A Software AG Case Study

Tel Aviv Stock Exchange takes control of risk

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE), Israel’s sole securities exchange, needed to modernize to compete with digital-first fintech firms and top global exchanges while preserving 20–30 years of critical Adabas & Natural back‑end knowledge. Key challenges included achieving non‑stop operations, meeting strict local and international regulatory requirements, and adopting DevOps to speed development without increasing risk.

With Software AG, TASE rehosted more than 10,000 Natural programs and Adabas databases to Linux—supporting over 300,000 clearing and settlement transactions per day—and adopted NaturalONE (Eclipse‑based IDE) to integrate Natural development into a Git‑based DevOps workflow. The move lowered costs and operational risk, improved version control, developer productivity and regulatory compliance, and set the stage for cloud/virtualized, highly available architectures.
