Süwag Kundenservice GmbH, a service subsidiary of Süwag Energie AG serving four German states, operates more than 300 employees handling distribution, billing and market communications — processing over 23 million EDIFACT messages in 2011 alone. Faced with growing message volumes, the company needed better process controlling, transparency and KPIs to detect disruptions, meet deadlines and reduce manual effort across supplier, supply-management and accounts-payable workflows.
Working with IDS Scheer Consulting, Süwag implemented a process control system using ARIS Process Performance Manager and MashZone to map end-to-end processes, define measurement points and monitor all incoming and outgoing messages. The solution delivered secure, real-time control, executive reporting and fewer data errors, significantly reduced manual processing, improved compliance and planning, and created a foundation for further automation such as a “zero touch” rater.
