State Agencies Improve Processes and Share Information in Real Time

The Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) manages IT infrastructure and network services for state and local government entities with a mission to connect Georgians to their government. Facing siloed, hard‑coded point‑to‑point integrations, paper‑based manual processes and growing interoperability and reporting requirements, GTA needed a way to improve real‑time data availability across federal, state, county and local agencies while preserving existing IT investments.

GTA standardized on Software AG’s webMethods integration platform plus ARIS and BPMS to create a centralized Data Sharing Services hub that models, automates and secures real‑time exchanges. The solution consolidated connectivity for 20 agencies and 300+ processes (about 24 million data exchanges per month), avoided a multi‑million‑dollar rip‑and‑replace, reduced duplicate data entry and errors, improved decision‑making and collaboration, and accelerated delivery of citizen services.
