Preview of the Standard Chartered Bank Case Study

Standard Chartered Bank - Customer Case Study

Standard Chartered is a leading international banking group focused on Asia, Africa and the Middle East, with over 150 years of operation and around 90% of its income coming from these regions. Facing a proliferation of interfaces that hampered agility, the bank needed to deliver compliant new capabilities faster and sought a globally federated business-process framework to reduce interfaces and improve quality.

To address this, Standard Chartered adopted webMethods and launched the Enterprise Data Management Integration (EDMi) programme—combining methodology, processes, software and a delivery organization—built on principles that align IT and business architecture. EDMi’s federated integration platform, co-developed with Software AG, accelerated interface development, automated testing and improved agility, quality, cost, reusability and stability; it is now live across nine domains including core banking, risk, channels and wealth.
