Saudi Telecom Company - Customer Case Study

Saudi Telecom Company (STC), a Riyadh-based regional telecom serving over 160 million subscribers, needed to build an enterprise Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) to boost agility, improve service quality and reduce time-to-market. The immediate challenge was to create a solid SOA foundation and a proof-of-value prototype by modernizing the Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) trouble-management process so benefits could be demonstrated and scaled across the organization.

STC ran an M2E FTTH pilot using Software AG’s ARIS for process modeling, webMethods for integration and CentraSite for governance, automatically converting BPMN models into executable services. The pilot cut trouble-ticket resolution by 30%, reduced IT development cycles by 35% and improved operational response times by 50–80%, producing a production-ready SOA process, a three-year roadmap and a plan to expand SOA capabilities enterprise-wide.
