The Sacramento Kings, based at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, wanted to turn every game moment into a seamless, personalized experience for fans in the arena, at home and on mobile. They faced challenges including real-time score and video delivery, enhancing in-arena services and comfort, and boosting mobile ticket and concession sales so fans wouldn’t miss the action.
Working with Raw Engineering and Software AG’s webMethods.io Integration, the team launched the Digital Fan Experience Platform and a mobile app that delivers mobile entry, ticketing, in-app purchases, parking, AI customer service (KAI), venue info and smart-venue controls, plus analytics and system integrations. The result was faster time-to-market for new features, higher guest loyalty and satisfaction, improved comfort (smart thermostats), new interactive fan experiences and increased mobile-driven revenue—capabilities now being adopted by other NBA teams.
