REIFF gets its IT on track with agile development and systematic integration

The REIFF Group is a family-owned company of more than 1,600 employees and one of Germany’s largest tire wholesalers, having grown rapidly through acquisitions. That expansion left the business with disparate IT systems, internal data silos and profit-center thinking that blocked company-wide processes and synergies—one internal study estimated better networking could unlock up to €50 million in additional revenue.

REIFF implemented a process-oriented strategic realignment using a Software AG solution suite (webMethods integration, BPMS, OneData MDM, Trading Networks), ARIS and SAP redocumentation, and adopted agile development. The SOA-based integration layer and centralized master data enabled consolidated procurement and warehousing, “one interface to the customer,” doubled the product range available to retailers, reduced retailer integration technical effort by about 75%, shortened time-to-market and improved customer satisfaction.
