Split Airport, Croatia’s second-largest airport handling more than 1.1 million passengers a year, faced strong seasonal peaks that put pressure on passenger and aircraft handling times. Management needed a way to continuously measure core process KPIs, identify weaknesses and ensure processes met strict time limits while remaining compliant with aviation standards.

Partnering with IDS Scheer/Software AG, the airport implemented ARIS Process Performance Manager in a phased pilot—defining scope and KPIs, customizing PPM, measuring real-time as‑is performance and training staff. The solution delivered transparent, dimensioned process timings, exposed bottlenecks for targeted improvement, optimized cycle times and established ongoing process intelligence so the airport could handle seasonal demand and rising airline requirements.
