MAPFRE, a global insurance leader serving 27 million customers in 49 countries, needed to modernize and scale its core operational management system (SGO) to support rapid international growth. The company sought better performance, enterprise-wide integration, simpler development of new solutions, and improved collaboration between business and IT to eliminate inefficiencies and manage increasing volumes.
Using Software AG’s ARIS and webMethods portfolio (including BPMS, Integration Server, My webMethods Server and the Composite Application Framework) MAPFRE rolled out SGO v2 and established a BPM Competency Center to bridge business and IT. The upgrade integrated more than 10,000 users across 5,000 locations, handles about 145,000 process instances and 430,000 tasks per month, and delivered end-to-end visibility, faster response times, automated escalations, reduced duplicate work and greater scalability for future growth.
