htw saar teaches students how to accelerate digital transformation with the ARIS Education Package

htw saar, a German University of Applied Sciences, needed a practical way to prepare master’s students for an era of accelerating digitalization that forces companies to rethink and transform their processes. Faculty sought to teach business process management, enterprise architecture and the link between organizational structures and IT through real-world, applied learning rather than theory alone.

Since 2013 the university has used Software AG’s ARIS Education Package—ARIS Architect, ARIS Simulation and ARIS Design Server with predefined tutorials and a realistic United Motor Group scenario—integrated into twice-weekly Business Computing sessions and available for student home use. The result: improved hands-on BPM skills, teamwork and job readiness (including free certification), easier lecture preparation for faculty, and more than 20 students benefiting each semester.
